Overview

A24 approached us to craft the social campaign for Pearl, a Wizard of Oz-styled, ’70s grindhouse nightmare and prequel to X. Pearl dreams of movie stardom but is trapped by her family, fueling the deep evil that defines her character.

We focused on the film’s era while embracing its thriller-slasher aesthetic. Our content drew connections to X while exploring a new side of Mia Goth’s monstrous character.

 
 
 
 
 

Interactive

We created an interactive Instagram filter that brought fans into the world of Pearl. The filter allowed individuals to smile which then triggered a technicolor world where they would be splattered with a surprise shortly after the transformation - all fun and games.
