Julia Garner’s new production company, Alma Margo, needed an identity—so she turned to our team to develop both the branding and animation. We worked through many concepts, while also burring out the sonic branding that would accompany it while being plaid in theaters. 

To add personality to the initially stark graphic/vector approach, we introduced a hand twisting a piece of palo santo, mimicking the motion of a cigarette. This element not only created a striking contrast against the typography but also gave the brand a distinctive and memorable icon. →
